The Jetstar Group, one of Asia’s fastest growing group of airlines, has opened its first Travel Shop in Jakarta, making it even easier for Indonesian customers to book and pay for any fare across the entire Jetstar network
Located in the busy Kelapa Gading district, the shop will offer customers convenient access to Jetstar’s low fares and growing number of travel products including hotels and travel insurance, with the ability to transact in cash.
In Jakarta to launch the Travel Shop for the Jetstar Group, Jetstar Asia and Valuair CEO Barathan Pasupathi said Jetstar was focussed on looking at innovative distribution solutions to make the carrier’s low fares more accessible to more people.
“Understanding our customer’s preference for cash payments and the low levels of credit card ownership in Indonesia, we have created our very first retail outlet to make flying with us even easier,” Mr Pasupathi said.
“The investment in this new Travel Shop, the first retail outlet for the Jetstar Group, reflects the importance of Indonesia to the Jetstar network.
“The Jetstar Travel Shop will help us to grow our customer base in Indonesia and will support Jetstar as we explore future growth in this market,” he said.
To mark the opening of the first ever Jetstar Travel Shop, Jetstar is offering sale fares to Singapore at just USD40, to Hong Kong (via Singapore) for USD$135 and to Osaka (via Singapore) for USD$210. Sale fares are only available at the Jetstar Travel Shop and terms and conditions apply.
