Jetstar to offer tickets on-board to popular tourist attractions and theme parks
In an Australian first, low fares airline Jetstar will have admission passes available to purchase on-board to Australia’s hottest tourist attractions in Cairns, the Sunshine Coast, Sydney and the Gold Coast.
The agreement between Jetstar Holidays and some of Australia’s favourite attractions will enable customers to purchase tickets to Sea World, Dreamworld, Australia Zoo, Wildlife World and Sydney Aquarium, plus many more while on board their Jetstar flight.
Jetstar Executive Head of Commercial David Koczkar said the service will provide a great convenience to Jetstar customers who are en route to their holiday.
“Australia has some of the best theme park rides, reef tours and unique wildlife in the world, and this partnership will give our customers easier access to fun holiday entertainment with the convenience of organising their passes before they arrive” Mr Koczkar said.
"We think it's a great service and one that families in particular will find it will save them time and add value to their holiday experience.
"Jetstar is known for our low fares and good times, and this is just another way we're delivering on that promise - meaning that the holiday can start before you reach your destination,” he said.
For a Gold Coast holiday, travellers can purchase tickets to any Warner Village theme park including Sea World, Movie World and Wet ‘n’ Wild Water World as well as Dreamworld and the new White Water World.
Cairns travellers on Jetstar can purchase tickets to the Great Barrier Reef Adventure, Quicksilver Outer Reef tour and Green Island Discovery Snorkelling and Glass Bottom Boat Tour.
Sydney visitors can purchase flights to the Sydney Tower and the Sydney Aquarium and for those travelling to the Sunshine Coast, purchase passes to Australia Zoo.
Jetstar has an ongoing commitment to promoting tourism to New South Wales and Queensland, dedicating millions of dollars each year to cooperative marketing campaigns promoting Australia’s best attractions to the world.
In April, Jetstar brought Japanese superstar ‘Becky’ to Cairns to film a tourism campaign to increase Japanese tourism to Queensland.
