Jetstar Holidays launch NZ ski packages

Australia’s low fares airline has launched New Zealand ski packages as a new extension of its Jetstar Holidays offering.

Jetstar is offering special Mt Hutt Ski Packages as part of the launch of the new ski holiday offering which will focus in the short term on New Zealand and is intended to grow to incorporate other Jetstar ski markets like Japan in the future.

Canterbury’s Mt Hutt Ski region is one of the New Zealand’s premier snow sport destinations. Mt Hutt is particularly family and beginner friendly with a snow sports school and a licensed Skiwiland Creche.

Jetstar’s Mt Hutt Ski Packages include;

Mt Hutt Ski Package for Intermediate (per person triple share)

  • Return economy JetSaver airfares to Christchurch (JetSaver fares inclusive of 20 kilograms of check-in luggage and 10 kilograms of carry on luggage)
  • 6 nights at the Holiday Inn Avon, Christchurch in a Standard Room
  • Mt Hutt Complete Intermediate Combo Pack including;
    • 3 Day full lift pass
    • 1 hour 50 minute group lesson
    • Skis, boots and poles or snowboard and boots rental
    • Clothing rental (jackets and pants)

Jetstar flies 10 times daily between Sydney and Christchurch, 9 times weekly between Melbourne and Christchurch and daily between Brisbane and Christchurch.

Jetstar Holidays will launch future ski packages for domestic New Zealand travelers shortly to Coronet Peak and the Remarkables with flights to Queenstown*.

Jetstar will commence domestic New Zealand flights on the 10 June 2009*. By end June, Jetstar will operate up to 84 weekly services between Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington and Queenstown. (*Flights subject to regulatory approval)
