Jetstar extends commitment to lowest price with new 'Jetstar Holidays Price Beat Guarantee

Australia’s low fares airline Jetstar has today announced it will extend is popular Jetstar Price Beat Guarantee on fares to cover its Jetstar Holidays online packages on sale at Jetstar.com, including accommodation, car hire and activities.

Jetstar Holidays offers hundreds of Australian and international holiday package combinations at Jetstar.com, such as ski short-breaks to New Zealand, beach holidays to Bali and family getaways to the Gold Coast.

In an extension of the carrier’s commitment to offering travellers the lowest fares, the airline is today launching the Jetstar Holidays Price Beat Guarantee, which means it will also offer price leadership on its holiday product.

The offer is available through Jetstar Holidays point of sale Australia and New Zealand.

For any traveller who finds the same or comparable available package (same or comparable flight plus the same of any hotel, car or activity) on any other Internet site that is lower than the lowest available Jetstar package, and books the package through Jetstar’s Telephone Reservations, Jetstar will beat the price by 10 per cent.

The package must contain at least one Jetstar flight, plus at least a accommodation, car hire or activity component that is booked into the same booking reference as the passenger’s flights.

Passengers who find a lower comparable holiday package online can call the Jetstar Holidays Price Beat Guarantee telephone number 1300 369 516 (in Australia) and Jetstar will beat the holiday package by 10 per cent, subject to verifying the competing holiday package and the Jetstar Holidays package is available.

Jetstar Chief Executive Officer Bruce Buchanan said travellers were increasingly seeking a “one-stop” shop to combine the lowest fares, plus holiday extras such as accommodation, activities and car hire.

“When purchasing their next holiday, our customers need not go any further than Jetstar.com for the lowest price,” Mr Buchanan said.

“Jetstar is the established price leader in Australia, New Zealand and across the Asia Pacific when it comes to airfares. Now we are seeking to extend that commitment even further by expanding our Price Beat Guarantee offering to our airfares combined with a package including accommodation, activities or car hire.

“We believe this new product will be attractive for the growing number of consumers who are seeking the convenience of purchasing their next Australian or international holiday at the one place – and at the same time know they are getting a great deal.

“Now, rather than browsing a range of websites for the best airfare, car hire and accommodation deals, consumers can visit Jetstar.com as a one-stop shop for value-for-money holidays.”

When purchasing a fare at Jetstar.com, customers can build their own specific holiday package that suits them by choosing only the options they want or need.

Passengers seeking value-for-money holidays can browse Jetstar.com for a range of holiday packages priced under $450, $650 and $950.
