Jetstar announces free flights from Singapore to Malaysia

  • Fly from Perth to Penang*, Kuala Lumpur or Kota Kinabalu from $209 with Jetstar

Australia’s low fares airline Jetstar has announced a special JetSaver sale fare of $209 from Perth to Singapore, with a FREE connection on Jetstar to Penang*, Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu when purchased as a single transaction**.

To celebrate the launch of Jetstar’s newest Malaysian service from Singapore to Penang*, Jetstar is offering West Australian holidaymakers a FREE seat from Singapore, to some of Malaysia’s most popular destinations with selected JetSaver fares from Perth to Singapore (includes 20kg checked baggage allowance).

The special fare is on sale until midnight 29 April 2009 (WST) and is available for travel between 22 July and 17 September 2009, and 21 October and 3 December 2009.

To book a fare combined with a free flight, go to Jetstar.com and search for fares from Perth to Penang*, Kuala Lumpur or Kota Kinabalu.

The launch of flights from Singapore to Penang* from 1 July will bring Jetstar’s flights between Singapore and Malaysia up to 88 weekly services, making Malaysia the biggest outbound market for the carrier.

Jetstar Chief Executive Officer Bruce Buchanan said the free flights offer was a great opportunity for Australians to travel even further throughout South East Asia on a low Jetstar fare.

“We believe this is the first time an airline in Australia has offered free flights with no hidden fees or taxes,” Mr Buchanan said. “And this first is a further testament to our commitment to being the region’s favourite low fares airline. With our price guarantee, where we make the commitment to beat competitor fares on our routes by 10%, this is another example of how we are bringing all day every day low fares to more and more people not just in Australia but throughout the region”.

“As Singapore is just a short five hour flight from Perth, it’s the perfect overseas gateway to some of South East Asia’s most exciting holiday destinations for West Australians.

“With the addition of Penang* to our network, passengers can now enjoy some of Malaysia’s best holiday destinations,” Mr Buchanan said.

Jetstar flies to more than 50 holiday destinations throughout Australia, Asia and the Asia Pacific.
