Agoda.com Partners Jetstar for Holiday Packages in Asia
Agoda.com, Asia’s global hotel booking site and part of Nasdaq-listed priceline.com Inc. (Nasdaq:PCLN), today announced a partnership with Jetstar, Asia Pacific’s largest revenue-earning low cost carrier.
Through the partnership, Agoda.com’s proprietary hotel inventory of thousands of hotels is accessible through Jetstar’s website Jetstar.com, with the two companies soon to co-develop holiday packages, and specials to be offered via the Jetstar Holidays network.
Agoda joins our growing range of partners to help provide a wider range of options to Jetstar customers.
Launched in 2004, Jetstar has carried over 90 million passengers and operates 2,400 weekly flights to 57 destinations in 14 countries across the Asia Pacific region.
In Asia, Jetstar operates over 1,000 weekly flights to 29 destinations including Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Osaka and Taipei and offers online booking services in six Asian languages.
Jetstar Group Chief Commercial Officer Mr David Koczkar said in partnering with Agoda.com, Jetstar was continuing to effectively expand its brand and customer reach through its active interest in the external travel business.
“Through such strategic partnerships Jetstar continues to offer our customers an expanded travel product that further drives revenue growth but importantly also complements our Pan Asian growth strategy,” Mr Koczkar said.
“In partnering with Agoda.com, Jetstar customers can now access a wider variety of holiday packages and hotel options, and get better value for their money.
“Each year, customers are buying hundreds of thousands of hotel and holiday packages with Jetstar, as we continue to expand our brand into the broader travel market.
“At Jetstar we are committed to providing the lowest fares and best value holiday packages, to allow more people to travel to more destinations more often.”
Agoda.com enjoys a long-held reputation as the online travel agent with the widest hotel coverage and most extensive promotional inventory in the Asia Pacific region. Agoda.com is available in 32 different languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia, and Bahasa Malay.
President and CEO of Agoda Mr. Robert Rosenstein stated: “As two entities that have been focused on Asia Pacific destinations for much of the last decade, both Agoda and Jetstar have always been dedicated to getting travellers the best deals online. Working together, we hope to create even more compelling offers.”
The partnership went live with a soft launch in March, allowing Jetstar’s Asia-based customers to access Agoda.com’s inventory online. The two companies plan to roll out more offerings in the coming months, including weekly deals that target key Asia Pacific destinations.
