Jetstar works closely with locals in Manila and we’ve been flying to the Philippines since 2005. The devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) has touched all of us here at Jetstar and we’re now partnering with World Vision to raise money for emergency relief on the ground.
Throughout the week, our team members and senior leaders have been collecting donations for World Vision’s Typhoon Haiyan Appeal. Customers have also responded generously and, over the past few days, we’ve collected around AU$5,000 for this cause.
In addition, Jetstar in Australia is going to allocate half of all funds donated to its StarKids charitable program between now and 13 December to the Typhoon Haiyan Appeal.
